Responsibilities

Hexagon’s Asset Lifecycle Intelligence division is seeking to hire a Senior Software Engineer SDET (Software Development Engineer in Test).  This position involves automation, verification and validation of Hexagon Construction Execution product.  Candidates considered for employment must be well-rounded, self-motivated, and team players. Candidates must be able to adapt quickly, by learning methodologies and technologies through formal and ad-hoc training as well as on-the-job training.  The candidate will work in a scrum team collaborating with teams based in US and other countries, and working within a multi-tenant, Cloud-only application framework based on the latest technologies.

Responsibilities:

  • Write, implement and execute automated tests from regression, performance, load or other manual test plans
  • Analyze and communicate detailed data on automated test results across organizational levels
  • Work closely with Functional testers and Development teams, file and prioritize automation backlogs
  • Understand and able to perform functional tests
  • Recommend and implement changes to enhance product quality and testing procedures
  • Demonstrate expertise in software scripting, manual testing, and automated testing.
  • Apply automation expertise in software design and development approaches and best practices.
  • Utilize strong analytical skills to solve complex problems promptly, adapting to changing priorities.
  • Mentor and train less experienced peers, providing guidance and support.
  • Analyze and test software to ensure compliance with design specifications and quality management standards.
  • Accurately document activities, processes, and test outcomes.
  • Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills and effectively communicate with internal stakeholders.
  • Engages with cross-functional teams to develop applications that meet customer needs
  • Capable with newer or latest automation technology or tools
  • Familiar with automated testing frameworks and tools used across the organization and understands the use cases for them
  • Create and execute automated test scenarios aligned with software architecture
  • Analyze failed automated tests or defects reported by customers, to expand and enhance efficiency of automated tests and overall test coverage

Education / Qualifications

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, Software Engineering or related areas, with 2- 5 years of experience in software automation and testing
  • Familiar with Microsoft services testing automation; adopt Artificial Intelligence for automation and functional testing a plus
  • Experience with AI testing a big plus
  • Working knowledge of agile software development methodology (scrum) a plus.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Azure DevOps and Microsoft Test Manager a plus.
  • Proficiency in at least one programming language such as C#, .NET, or JavaScript
  • Hands-on experience with automation frameworks like Selenium, WebdriverIO, Playwright, or similar.
  • Working knowledge of Windows Server Operating Systems and relational databases (ORACLE, MSSQL Server) a plus.
  • Experience with Postman for API testing, and tools like TFS and GitHub.
  • Strong interpersonal, problem solving and multi-tasking skills
  • Experience with Hexagon ALI products a plus
