Responsibilities
Reporting to the Accounting Manager, you will have primary responsibility for all aspects of financial close, taxation, audit, insurance, banking, fixed assets, and credit & collections. Your strong organizational and planning skills will enable you to meet tight deadlines, while your flexibility allows you to adapt to any challenge that is presented. As a critical thinker, you will not only manage current processes but also challenge the status quo and drive process improvements.
As a senior member of our Finance team, your responsibilities will include:
- Completing monthly financial loads and preparing various financial reports
- Performing month end processes, including banking, multi-currency revaluation, fixed asset reporting, and general ledger reconciliations
- Preparing and filing annual corporate income tax returns and related tax reporting
- Leading internal and external audit engagements
- Reviewing revenue recognition to ensure compliance with accounting standards
- Reviewing and following up on general ledger reconciliations prepared by team members
- Performing weekly cash flow analysis
- Managing customer credit and collections
- Coordinating insurance services including annual renewal and employee support
- Leading ad hoc financial projects and initiatives
Education / Qualifications
The ideal candidate will meet the following qualifications:
- At least six years of accounting experience in a medium sized organization ($25M-$75M) including a minimum of:
- 2 years in month end close
- 2 years in financial reporting
- 2 years in tax and audit
- 1 year in credit and collections
- Experience in Microsoft Dynamics or a similar ERP accounting system
- Advanced Excel skills
- Intermediate tax knowledge (corporate income tax and sales tax)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong problem solving skills and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- High attention to detail and accuracy and commitment to meeting deadlines
- A professional, positive, and proactive attitude
Nice to Have
- CPA designation or be in the final stages of the CPA program
- Advanced tax knowledge
