Responsibilities

We are currently looking for an experienced Full Stack Developer (ReactJS + Java) to join our team in Ghent.

 

In this role, you will be working on the front- end and back-end of our web-based back-office system and help center, together with our back-end engineers. You should be an experienced ReactJS developer who is willing to learn Java backend development.

 

You will be responsible for designing new features as well as bringing the current codebase up to standards. You will be part of an international team that aims to develop an intuitive and user-friendly environment.

 

Your key responsibilities will be to

 

  • Collaborate with functional analysts, product designers and back-end teams to build modern web applications with a focus on user experience.
  • Design and build efficient and reusable back and front-end systems.
  • Participate in architecture, design and code reviews.
  • Recommend and make enhancements to improve the quality of products and procedures.

 

The role is offered on a regular, fulltime employment contract basis only (no freelancing) and within a hybrid work setting.

Education / Qualifications

  • 5+ years’ experience as a front-end developer.
  • Mastery of HTML, modern CSS and frameworks such as Tailwind CSS, JSP, JavaScript/TypeScript and React.js.
  • Experience with responsive web design.
  • Demonstrable experience with Java backend development.Knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming in Java.
  • Experience with common Java technologies is a plus (Maven, Spring, JPA, ...)
  • Expertise in using RESTful APIs.
  • Proficiency with PNPM, Vite, Turbo (Monorepo) or other build tools.
  • A good understanding of GIT and continuous integration.
  • You have strong analytical skills, are detailed oriented, and you like to work in a structured and methodical way.
  • You speak business-fluent English, knowledge of Dutch will be an asset.
  • You are comfortable in a highly collaborative international environment with a hands-on and can-do attitude.
  • You are a true team- player, you know how to motivate a project team, and you enjoy working in a project-based environment.
