Responsibilities

Position Summary/Purpose
We seek an experienced Learning & Development Lead to establish a leading practice L&D model and service offering that meets the organisation’s needs across the ALI divisions. This role will lead our Global L&D initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess a strong track record in developing leading practice L&D Programs and be experienced in LMS platforms. This role requires strategic thinking in L&D planning and execution, effective stakeholder collaboration for program design and delivery.


•    Strategic Leadership:
o    Develop and execute a comprehensive global learning and development operational strategy that supports the division's business goals across all functions.
o    Conceptualize and implementation of leadership development programs, and soft skills training, including technical training.
o    Align L&D initiatives with the division's talent management program.
o    Utilize the business background added to the local culture and people knowledge, to validate the proposed changes, initiatives and strategies, in making the proper recommendations to the leaders.
o    Monitor and report on L&D metrics, including participation rates, program effectiveness, and ROI.

 •    Program Design and Implementation:
o    Design, leverage, develop, and deploy global learning programs that adopt and promote continuous learning across all functional areas, including operations, sales, finance, and technology.
o    Manage the end-to-end delivery of L&D programs.
o    Utilize data and analytics to measure the effectiveness of L&D initiatives and to recommend continuously improvement across our L&D programs.

 •    LMS Management:
o    Partner with HRIS to ensure optimization of the division's Learning Management System (LMS), ensuring seamless delivery, tracking, and reporting of all learning activities.
o    Collaborate with HRIS,  and LMS vendors to ensure the system is up-to-date, leading practice  user-experience, and aligned with the division's L&D strategy.
o    Co-ordinate regional and functional L&D teams on LMS usage, ensuring consistent application and maximizing system capabilities.

 •    Global Cross-Functional Collaboration:
o    Work closely with functional leaders to identify learning needs specific to their areas and develop targeted training solutions.
o    Facilitate cross-functional learning initiatives to promote knowledge sharing and collaboration across the division.
o    Serve as the primary point of contact for L&D-related matters, providing expert advice and support to regional HR teams and functional leaders.
o    Ensure consistent delivery of learning programs across regions/functions while allowing for localization to meet specific cultural or regulatory needs.

 •    Innovation and Continuous Improvement:
o    Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices in L&D, incorporating innovative learning methodologies and technologies.
o    Drive the adoption of digital learning platforms and tools to enhance accessibility and engagement.
 

Education / Qualifications

Qualifications:
•    Education:
o    Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Business Administration, or a related field. 

•    Experience:
o    Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in Learning & Development, with at least 5 years in a global or regional leadership role.
o    Proven track record of developing and implementing L&D strategies in a large, complex organization, preferably within a billion-dollar division or multinational company.
o    Experience managing and developing a global team, with demonstrated ability to work across functions.
o    Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) management and optimization.

o    Strong strategic thinking and leadership skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
o    Proactive, resilient, self-motivated leader and Team builder
o    Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively across cultures and geographies.
o    Proficiency in L&D technologies, e-learning platforms, and data analytics, with a strong understanding of LMS capabilities.
o    Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.

Travel Requirements:
•    Occasional global travel required (~20%) to support Global L&D initiatives and HRBP team development.
