Responsibilities

VMware Environment Management

•    Install, configure, and maintain VMware vSphere environments (ESXi hosts, vCenter Server).
•    Manage virtual machines (VMs), templates, and clones.
•    Monitor performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize virtual infrastructure.
•    Implement and maintain VMware security features and access controls.
•    Perform backup and disaster recovery procedures for VMs.
•    Plan and execute upgrades and migrations of the VMware environment.
•    Experienced in designing VMware Private Cloud environments. Windows and Linux Server Management
•    Proficient in installation, configuration, and maintenance of Windows and Linux servers.
•    In-depth knowledge of Active Directory, DHCP, DNS, Group Policy, IIS, SCCM, WSUS, and Windows Clustering.
•    Strong understanding of application tiers, IIS, and databases.
•    Plan and execute upgrades and migrations of the operation system versions and migration to Cloud.
•    Diagnose and resolve technical issues and outages related to servers and infrastructure.
•    Ensure security and compliance of server environments.

General System Administration

•    Monitor system performance and ensure optimal resource utilization (PRTG, Zabbix, Nagios).
•    Provide L2 and L3 support for VMware and Windows-related issues.
•    Troubleshoot and resolve complex incidents escalated from other teams.
•    Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
•    Manage daily support tasks to meet strict SLA requirements.
•    Ensure proper security and compliance controls are in place.
•    Perform regular backups and maintain disaster recovery readiness.
•    Collaborate with IT teams on infrastructure projects and initiatives.
•    Document processes, procedures, and configurations.

Required Skills

•    Strong understanding of VMware vSphere (ESXi, vCenter).
•    Up-to-date knowledge of VMware and Windows technologies and best practices.
•    Expertise in Windows and Linux server administration.
•    Experience with server hardware, virtualization, and networking concepts.
•    Implement and maintain monthly security patches.
•    Contribute to the development and implementation of IT strategies.
•    Minimum 3–5 years of hands-on experience in server administration and cloud operations (AWS and Azure).
•    Familiarity with scripting and automation tools (e.g., PowerShell) or IaC (Infrastructure as a Code).
•    Willingness to work as part of a team on rotational weekend shifts for patching activities.
•    Availability to work the 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM CET shift.

Education / Qualifications

• B.Tech with 3 to 5 years of relevent experience in IT.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., VCP, MCSA/MCSE, VMWare ) are highly desirable.
• Must have VMware and Public Cloud (Azure/AWS) Certifications
• Must be ITIL Certified
