Responsibilities

Principal Software Developer role focused on building scalable, reusable UI component libraries for Hexagon ALI’s UXToolkit initiative, supporting multiple platforms including React, Angular, and .NET technologies.

 

Core responsibilities: 

  • The role involves designing, developing, and maintaining cross-platform UI components that are themeable, accessible, secure, and performant, collaborating closely with UX and product teams to ensure consistent user experiences and supporting CI/CD processes. The developer is expected to work independently, multitask efficiently, and mentor others.

Education / Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or related field.

 

Technical expertise required:

  • Candidates should have 6–7 years of frontend development experience with React, Angular, Web Components, and enterprise-grade UI frameworks(Kendo, AgGrid, MUI, Angular Material), along with knowledge of design tokens, theming, accessibility standards, and tooling like Storybook and Azure DevOps. Familiarity with cross-platform delivery (MAUI, WPF).

 

Candidate should have strong command over: 

  • Design tokens, theming strategies.
  • Web Components (Custom Elements, Shadow DOM, framework interoperability)
  • SCSS architecture and responsive layouts
  • Accessibility (semantics, keyboard flows, ARIA best practices).
  • CSS-in-JS libraries.

 

AI skills:

  • Experience in AI-enhanced design and development workflows, such as prompt design, conversational UX patterns, AI-based accessibility, and integration of AI APIs to accelerate component innovation and delivery.
