Responsibilities
EMEA Services Team is looking for a Software Engineer to join our team in Łódź. You will be responsible for maintaining and refactoring the current market-leading desktop application for the Cadstre and Utility Cadastre (50%) and enabling its migration to its next-generation service-oriented replacement (50%). This role requires strong coding, debugging and troubleshooting skills, with a focus on clean code, performance, and stability.
Main responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Support and Platform Teams
- Collaborate with product managers to deliver high quality features
- Maintain and develop .NET Framework WPF desktop application
- Maintain core state of the art specialized Cadastre modules (C++)
- Migrate existing business logic into well encapsulated service-oriented modules
- Develop robust backend services and APIs using .NET
- Participate in code reviews, testing and deployment processes
- Contribute to architectural decisions and continuous improvement initiatives
- Experience working with relational databases (PostgreSQL, SQL Server)

Education / Qualifications
- Strong C# / .NET Framework WPF skills
- Excellent troubleshooting skills
- Familiarity with C++
- Experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL, SQL Server)
- Good communication skills in English (written and spoken)
- Experience with backend development using in .NET, ASP.NET Core, or similar
- Familiarity with git, CI/CD pipelines, and Agile methodologies
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs and service-oriented architecture
We appreciate
- Proficiency in web-frontend frameworks (preferable React or Angular)
- Practical experience with .COM, MFC, COM Interop
- Familiarity with GIS and geospatial data
- Communicative German
