Responsibilities
The Manager, PMO manages the Professional Services Project Management Office (PMO) and is accountable for the successful execution and delivery of all Professional Services projects. They manage all PMO roles including Project Manager & Project Specialist positions. The Manager, PMO is responsible for forecasting service delivery, managing risk across the project portfolio, and driving project execution and customer satisfaction.
Operational Responsibilities
• Manage project management team and support their needs and questions on day-to-day basis
• Ensure customer projects achieve business benefits and with high customer satisfaction ratings
• Ensure that customers projects are completed on time, and within budget and scope
• Act as the primary escalation point for internal stakeholders and customers on project-related issues
• Ensure all PMO resources promote strong and consistent communication, facilitate regular status and steering meetings, produce appropriate reports, and maintain project documentation weekly
• Coach and mentor project managers ensuring appropriate methodology is applied
• Oversee project portfolio key performance indicators including customer satisfaction, time to start, time to implement, project risk health, among others
• Drive and develop project implementation methodology to ensure efficient delivery and value delivered to the customer
• Where appropriate, act as steering committee member on strategic customer projects
• Oversee project staffing, scheduling, forecasting and billing processes for all Professional Services projects
• Be part of the Professional Services management team, establish direction for the PMO, and oversee completion of internal initiatives supporting strategic goals & OKRs
Leadership Responsibilities
• Act as a ‘culture bearer’ and advocate for ETQ with its employees and customers
• Work with cross-functional partners to support customer issues, corporate initiatives, and programs
• Attend and contribute to ETQ Leadership team meetings, planning sessions, and training activities
• Provide feedback and recommendations to peers and executive management for process or methodology improvements outside of function
Education / Qualifications
The Manager, PMO position requires a minimum of a bachelor's degree as well as 4+ years of experience in Professional Services and enterprise software delivery. The position also requires 3+ years leading project management resources and experience developing implementation methodology and PMO best practices. The resource must demonstrate strong leadership, communication, process improvement, and planning skills.
