Responsibilities

Hexagon’s Asset Lifecycle Intelligence division (Hexagon) is seeking a Senior APM Reliability Consultant to expand the Asset Performance Management (APM) knowledge base within the Hexagon Services organization, partners, and customers in asset-intensive industries such as energy, utilities, transportation, manufacturing, and infrastructure.  The ideal candidate will hold the ability to functionally lead and advise on workshops and projects, training and consulting on the HxGN APM solution with a focus on operationalizing their asset strategies leading to improved visibility of asset health.
The ideal candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including business development, product management, proposals, services, and support as a subject matter expert on Asset Performance Management practices and project development with the ability to cover both functional and technical components.

  • Customer Engagement: Facilitate the development of strategies to improve asset reliability and health.  Lead customer workshops, demonstrating the HxGN APM solution, evaluating existing asset strategies, and consulting on how to utilize the HxGN APM solution to meet program goals.
  • Solution Implementation: Support technical implementations of HxGN APM including interacting with the customers’ business and IT teams to collect required information.  Work within the team to define and document implementation best practices.  Coach services and partner team members in their execution of HxGN APM implementations including activities such as:
    • Analyzing customer asset, maintenance plan, work history, and operation data.
    • Setting up integrations, understanding required data flows and the purpose of data in the context of the APM solution.
    • Working within the HxGN APM solution to build strategy models and apply them to assets.
    • Developing queries and dashboard content to provide insights to customers.
  • Sales Support: Collaborate with sales teams to develop strategies and messaging tailored to the sales development efforts. Respond to requests for proposals (RFPs) alongside Hexagon’s proposal team.  Lead and support components of the proposal process for scope definition, pricing, and skill requirements.
  • Knowledge Expansion: Work with global service and partner teams to identify opportunities for training on the APM solution.  Execute and expand current enablement programs as needs are identified.  Aim for self-sufficiency within the services and partner organizations to scope, estimate, and execute HxGN APM implementation projects.

Education / Qualifications

  • 15+ years of experience in asset strategy development, reliability engineering, or maintenance optimization within asset-intensive industries.
  • Strong understanding of asset lifecycle management, reliability-centered maintenance (RCM), and predictive maintenance methodologies.
  • Familiarity with Enterprise Asset Management, Asset Performance Management, Process Historian, and other related software solutions and how they support reliability improvements and operational excellence.
  • Software implementation experience
  • Excellent presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external partners.
  • Experience conducting assessments, gap analyses, and delivering actionable recommendations to clients.
  • Ability to use MS Excel for data analysis and manipulation
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or related field; career experience working as a consultant in industry focused on asset maintenance or reliability.
  • Able and willing to travel domestically and internationally.

Nice-to-Have:

  • Functional and system level experience with HxGN EAM, SAP, or Maximo EAM solutions and data
  • Functional and system level experience with enterprise APM solutions
  • Additional languages – Spanish, Portuguese
  • Knowledge of commercial operations processes, scope and estimate development, service agreements, and proposal generation
  • Advanced technical skills – SQL
