Responsibilities

Hexagon’s Asset Lifecycle Intelligence division is seeking a Software Application Operational Analytics Intern. This position offers a unique opportunity to work with Microsoft AppInsights logs, gaining insights into the performance, usage, and potential issues of applications and services on Hexagon’s SaaS platform. This role is ideal for an individual interested in data analysis, problem-solving, and SaaS software operations.

Responsibilities:  

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to collect and analyze telemetry data, including Microsoft AppInsights logs from Hexagon’s Azure-based SaaS platform.  
• Use querying languages such as Kusto Query Language (KQL) to extract, transform, and interpret log data, identifying patterns, trends, and anomalies.  
• Assist in creating and maintaining dashboards, reports, and visualizations to effectively communicate insights to relevant stakeholders.  
• Work closely with developers, support engineers, and system administrators to diagnose performance issues, troubleshoot errors, and detect bugs based on the analysis of log data.

Education / Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Technology, or a related field.  
• Strong interest in data analysis, data visualization, and troubleshooting software performance issues.  
• Basic knowledge of querying languages such as SQL or Kusto Query Language (KQL) and data manipulation techniques.  
• Strong problem-solving skills with a high level of attention to detail.  
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
