Responsibilities

Hexagon's Asset Lifecycle Intelligence division (Hexagon) is seeking a Technical Support Engineer to join our team. The position will be based remotely in the US and will support our EcoSys software.

  • The Technical Support Engineer provides problem solving analysis and technical support for the EcoSys software application and/or related data issues in a multi-tiered enterprise software environment.
  • Supports specific internal/external customers on all aspects of user reported technical/data problems or questions involving Hexagon PPM and EcoSys-related software. 
  • Deals directly with internal and external customers to ascertain problems and assist in resolving them while striving to build and maintain strong customer relations and partnerships.
  • Troubleshoots problems and contacts other teams (e.g. Development, Application Performance Architecture, Quality Assurance) as necessary for consultations.
  • Demonstrates proficiency using appropriate tools and platforms. 

Education / Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field, Master’s Degree a plus
Minimum two years’ experience in customer-facing service/support role utilizing technical skills 

Required Skills
- Proficient software technical support troubleshooting skills
- Excellent oral and communications skills
- Skilled with MS Windows based environment and Microsoft Excel
- Working knowledge of remote connectivity and control tools
- Ability to work under pressure
- Ability to work overtime as needed to meet deadlines and resolve critical customer issues

DESIRED SKILLS
- Computer certification(s) a plus
- Experience with Oracle or SQL Server databases
- Experience with Java application servers (WebSphere, and/or Tomcat)
- Hands on systems-level experience with Windows Server and Unix/Linux
