Responsibilities
- Development
- Mentor other engineers.
- Independently lead the design/architect/development of a solution to a task.
- Review and approve the work of less senior engineers.
- Lead and participate in the requirements analysis and design.
- Help Technical Support team in identifying and resolving customer issues.
- Debug applications, trace code, and find and fix bugs as well as identify software flaws, spot wrong implementation, and propose effective solutions.
- Implement unit test cases that exercise and test the produced code.
- Handle customer feedback on the delivered projects.
- Communicate with customers, when applicable, to address and troubleshoot reported issues, which requires excellent skills in managing customer meetings, phone etiquette, etc.
- Provide periodic updates for issues on hand, and get them resolved within internal SLAs, to meet internal and external customer satisfaction.
- Regularly update stories including progress, status, and documentation (Release Notes & Modified Settings) for projects.
- Effectively use the different development tools necessary to do the required job. For example: IDE, HTML editors, debugging tools, DB clients, SQL editors, … etc.).
- Demonstrate high quality technical and business documentation skills.
- Provide high-level estimates for multi-sprint projects.
- Front-End
- Design complex and interactive Web and Mobile applications.
- Develop, modify, and maintain complex and interactive Web and Mobile applications using Angular, JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
- Develop and maintain the Java, JavaScript, and CSS libraries and events to control the client functionality.
- Troubleshoot and fix Client Side (Angular, JavaScript, CSS, and GUI) issues reported by testers.
- Develop prototypes and UI designs.
- Use the ETQ Designer tool to modify and maintain the UI of new and existing applications.
- Back-End
- Design web applications for enterprise / SaaS.
- Develop and maintain web applications using Java technology and based on the ETQ Reliance platform.
- Develop and maintain Java classes and other resources, to implement requirements and features.
Education / Qualifications
- B.S. Degree or higher in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Software Engineering, or related degree.
- 7+ years of experience implementing enterprise/SaaS applications for front-end and back-end.
- Front-end programming skills including Angular, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, or other frameworks.
- 7+ years of experience in Java programming.
- Excellent communication skills, verbal, and written with the ability to converse effectively at all levels within the organization.
- Knowledge of RBDMS Oracle, SQL Server, or MySQL.
- Experience developing cross-browser and cross-platform compatible solutions.
- Extensive knowledge about coding design patterns.
- Strong understanding of object-oriented programming and design is a must.
- Familiarity with Amazon Web Services and/or Azure or Google Cloud Platform.
- Familiarity with high scale cloud architecture and micro-services.
- Deep experience with using modern software development tools, such as IntelliJ/Eclipse, Git, Jenkins, etc.
