Responsibilities
Hexagon Safety, Infrastructure & Geospacial seeks a Quality Assurance Engineer to ensure the quality of our assistive AI software product, Smart Advisor. Smart Advisor aids the end user by detecting patterns and connections between events or incidents providing actionable insights while monitoring an emergency or during routine surveillance.
Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:
-Prioritize, plan, and coordinate QA testing activities.
-Review requirements, specifications, and functional design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback.
-Create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases.
-Identify, record, document thoroughly, and track bugs.
-Apply testing processes for new and existing products to meet customer needs.
-Collaboration with internal teams (e.g., developers & product managers) to identify testing requirements.
-Review logs using debugging process results.
-Demonstrated ability to operate effectively within a Windows 11 environment, leveraging Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) to support quality assurance workflows, including documentation, defect tracking, data analysis, and reporting.
-Familiarity with system navigation, file management, and integration of Office tools with QA platforms such as Azure DevOps is preferred
Education / Qualifications
Education
BS degree in Computer Science or a proven related technical discipline. Equivalent work experience may be accepted.
Required Qualifications
Experience in manual software quality assurance testing is required.
Solid understanding of QA methodologies.
The ability to write clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases.
Self-motivated, independent, and effective team contributor
Ability to step up in a fast-paced environment and be accountable.
Strong problem-solving, written, and verbal communications skills
Familiarity with Agile Scrum methodology
Willingness to learn new technologies and enhance skills
Advanced English
Desired Qualifications
Experience in the Public Safety domain is desirable
Basic knowledge of browser development tools
Experience with Microsoft Azure and Azure DevOps
Familiar with Agile Scrum Methodology
Experience with Playwright automated testing tools
