Software Development Intern - SDx2 Integration

Responsibilities

Hexagon’s Asset Lifecycle Intelligence division(Hexagon) is seeking an R&D intern.

 

  • Get hands-on experience working with Azure DevOps (Pipelines, CI/CD, Dashboards) to enhance and maintain our automated build and test pipelines.
  • Gain experience with modern web technologies such as TypeScript, Angular 16+, REST APIs, and .NET (VB, C#/.NET Core).
  • Contribute to improving our software development workflow, making it faster and more efficient.
  • Work closely with the development team to design, build, and debug exciting new features.
  • Learn best practices for writing efficient, high-quality code and develop your coding skills under the guidance of experienced mentors.
  • Explore how YAML, containerized development (Docker), and microservices architecture contribute to building scalable applications.
  • Learn how relational databases (SQL Server) integrate into application development.
  • Troubleshoot and debug issues to understand real-world software development challenges.

Education / Qualifications

  • A student currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

  • A keen interest in software development, with some exposure to Microsoft build environments, .NET (VB, C#), and .NET Core, PowerShell or Bash (Linux)

  • A problem-solving mindset and a strong eye for detail.

  • Familiarity with CDN's, containerized development and deployment (Docker).

  • A willingness to learn and collaborate with a supportive team.
  • Some familiarity with web technologies like TypeScript, Angular 16+, and REST APIs.

  • A basic understanding of Windows operating systems, relational databases (SQL Server), and DevOps concepts.

  • A basic understanding of Microservices and Micro Front End Architecture
