Accountant

Responsibilities

1. General Accounting

- Monthly closing of accounts related to the area of responsibility

- Preparation of journal entries and analysis of general ledger accounts

- Assistance in preparing financial statements, summaries and reports

- Reconciliation of the balance sheet and the part in charge is carried out to ascertain outstanding details and correct them as necessary

- Providing documents to external auditors and conducting Walkthroughs

- Assist in the preparation of tax returns

- Checking employee expense claims

 

2. Sales and Cost Related

- Checking quotations, purchase orders, acceptance inspection forms, invoices, etc. for billing and revenue recognition

- Billing and revenue recognition process

- Monitoring costs and WIP, BIA, BIE etc

- Manage accounts receivable, unbilled accounts receivable and Aging management

- Create relevant reports

 

3. Project Accounting

- Project Accounting Responsible for all aspects of project accounting

- Understands and communicates with service teams to recognise revenue correctly for complex projects

- The ability to advise service teams and sales on revenue and costs is desirable

- Check project-related purchase orders, contracts, etc. and register orders correctly

- Understand the accounting systems relevant to the project and be able or willing to solve problems independently in the future

Education / Qualifications

- At least over 5 years' experience in English accounting (including sales and cost related)

- Knowledge of ERP systems (GP preferred but not essential); SAP and Oracle experience a plus

- Japanese (native level),  English - business level (conversational required)

- Excel skills - Vlookup, Sumif, Pivot, etc

- Good time management skills and a sense of responsibility

- Able to communicate smoothly and perform company, team and individual tasks without any problems

- Willingness to learn new things and take on new challenges, not limited to the tasks assigned (depending on the level of mastery, new tasks may be assigned)

- Willingness to improve current business processes and make changes to make them more productive
