Responsibilities

This position requires individuals to perform routine, less complex accounting assignments following established procedures in areas such as accounts receivable, customer invoicing, accounts payable, and fixed assets. Individuals in this position work under close supervision.

• Utilizes financial systems for tasks.
• Prepares standard and nonstandard journal entries and general ledger account analyses.
• Provides documentation for external auditors.
• Depending on the specific area of responsibility, additional job duties may include the following:
• Applies customer payments and follows up with customers on issues.
• Reviews customer orders and contracts for proper invoicing and less complex revenue recognition.
• Prepares customer invoices with appropriate general ledger account distributions.
• Reviews the setup of customer orders in license management, contract administration, and financial systems.
• Processes employee expense reimbursements in compliance with local travel policy and approval matrices.
• Processes vendor payments in accordance with negotiated terms and with appropriate general ledger account and department distributions according to established guidelines.
• Accounts for fixed asset purchases, tracks fixed assets, records depreciation, and periodically performs physical audits of fixed assets.
