Responsibilities

We are seeking to hire a Senior Project Manager to join our organisation. Based in Yokohama, Japan, you will join a team focused on the Project Management segment. In this position, individuals coordinate all aspects of a product or service offering project for a client, from inception to installation. Installations may involve acceptance of enterprise software systems, system integration, or consulting projects or engagements. 

 

  • Typically involves extensive interaction with pre-sales, sales, the product center, finance, and other members of cross-functional teams.
  • Project management skills, rather than technical skills, are key, but a strong technical background is often required to manage competing interests.
  • Typically oversees scope, schedules, and budgets to ensure stakeholder goal attainment.
  • Executes projects in alignment with Hexagon Smart Services Methodology and project management methodologies.
  • Ensure project overviews are documented and communicated for project stakeholders including but not limited to scope, assumptions, drivers, resources, expectations.
  • Create, manage and execute project plans, revising as needed, to meet project needs and requirements.
  • Facilitate cross functional interlocks and interdependencies with project stakeholders and executive teams.
  • Prepare and deliver reporting on project progress, ensuring stakeholders can easily understand status and challenges.
  • Identify, document and resolve project action items, risks, issues, roadblocks and dependencies.
  • Plan, facilitate and document project meetings to ensure efficient team communications.
  • Maintain and communicate project budget & ROI - Responsible for managing and organizing multiple work streams that may have different priorities.

Education / Qualifications

  • Native level Japanese fluency & Business level English
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent is a differentiator
  • A Scrum Master (CSM) certification would be an advantage 
  • Minimum 5 years’ combined experience in a relevant industry and/or with similar technology in project management role
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
